And it means doing everything you can to pass the famous red shirt on in better shape than when you had the privilege of wearing it. It means being proud and making everyone around you proud too. It means everything.
Our Academy at Arsenal is renowned across the game for producing outstanding footballers and fine young men.
My message to every Academy Player is this: Be proud to wear this iconic club badge. Work hard every day. Listen to your coaches and be respectful to yourself and everyone around you.
And always be humble enough to know that however talented you are, you can always improve and always outwork your talent. Do all these things and you are giving yourself the best opportunity to have a great career.
